An events decor business opportunity was the brain child of Co-owner, Lanita Bostic. As a little girl, she always liked things clean and neat. She kept her (side of the room) tidy and cute whenever she could. Her passion for decorating was evident and showed when she moved into her first college dorm room. When she married her college sweetheart and relocated to Tuscaloosa, her decorating skills could be seen throughout their home, from the living room, to the kitchen, and even their children’s nurseries. Everything had to be in its proper place and look a certain way.
At Christmas (Lanita’s favorite holiday) her passion for decorating was highlighted in every room of the house, with every room and Christmas tree showcasing its own special theme. Lanita sets up and decorates 6-10 Christmas trees every year and has often assisted others with their Christmas decorations as well. To her, decorating is a hobby and something she loves to do. The difference in then and now, Lanita now gets paid to do what she loves.
Co-owners, of Especially For You Events, LLC, Lanita and Antonio Bostic decided 2020 was the year to start their small business. Lanita was already decorating for local and family events and the opportunity to partner with a local event planner presented itself at just the right moment. There was no doubt it was time to take the leap. Only a few months after entering into the partnership, the local events planner decided she no longer wanted to work in the business and offered to have Lanita and Antonio buy her out. Of course, the answer was yes and the Bostic’s set out to rebrand their business venture. With Antonio’s background in bookkeeping, finance, and contracts and Lanita’s artistic vision and creativity, the business has taken off.
